Arsenal Transfer Bombshell: Martin Odegaard Among Nine Players Linked With Summer Exit

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has reportedly emerged as one of the players who could leave the club this summer as the Gunners review their finances following heavy spending.
The North London club invested more than £268 million on new signings during the recent transfer window.
Arsenal are now assessing their financial position and may be forced to offload some players to remain compliant with Financial Fair Play regulations.
Reports indicate that internal discussions at the Emirates Stadium suggest at least one senior first-team player may have to be sold.
In a surprising development, club captain Odegaard has been mentioned as a possible candidate for a summer transfer.
The Norwegian midfielder still has two years remaining on his current contract with the Premier League club.
However, reports claim that any substantial offer for Odegaard could be considered favourable business for Arsenal.
Academy prospects Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have also been mentioned among players who could depart.
Nwaneri has struggled for regular playing time and was recently loaned out to Marseille.
Lewis-Skelly has also reportedly fallen down the pecking order under manager Mikel Arteta.
Several senior players including Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard are also believed to be potential departures.
Martinelli, who joined Arsenal for £7 million in 2019, and defender White are viewed as players who could generate significant transfer profit.
Havertz still has two years left on his contract but the club is reportedly weighing up whether to offer him a new deal.
Jesus and Trossard are both approaching the final year of their current contracts.
This situation gives Arsenal the option of renewing their deals or allowing them to leave during the upcoming transfer window.
The Gunners signed four major players during the summer window including Viktor Gyökeres, Martin Zubimendi, Eberechi Eze and Piero Hincapie.
Although the club’s revenue has reportedly risen to £690.3 million, rising wage bills continue to put pressure on their financial structure.
As a result, Arsenal may need to sanction several player sales in order to balance their books.
