Trump reacts to death of US soldiers in Iran conflict

President Donald Trump has said the death of six American soldiers during the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran was an unfortunate but inevitable consequence of war.

Trump made the remark on Saturday while speaking about the fallen soldiers amid the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East.

He delivered the statement during the Shield of the Americas Summit held in Doral, Florida in the presence of leaders from countries across the Western Hemisphere.

Reports earlier confirmed that six US soldiers lost their lives during the conflict linked to the Iran crisis.

Reacting to the development, Trump described the fallen troops as heroes who paid the ultimate price while serving their country.

The US president also announced plans to travel to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to receive the remains of the soldiers.

According to him, the visit will allow him to honour the servicemen and offer support to their grieving families.

Trump said the soldiers were returning home in a manner they never expected but would always be remembered for their sacrifice.
