“You Can’t Defend Tinubu’s Government Without Looking Stupid” – Fayose Blasts Administration

Popular Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has said defending the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a difficult task.
Fayose made the remark while reacting to an interview granted by Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the president on Policy Communication, during Al Jazeera’s Head to Head programme hosted by journalist Mehdi Hasan.
During the interview, Bwala addressed questions regarding Nigeria’s worsening security situation and responded to concerns raised by the interviewer.
The interviewer asked whether the government could take pride in Nigeria reportedly ranking among the deadliest countries in the world due to increasing insecurity.
Responding to the question, Bwala acknowledged that insecurity exists in Nigeria but suggested that the recent wave of attacks followed narratives surrounding alleged Christian genocide.
He also maintained that no country in the world is completely free from security challenges.
Reacting in a video shared on his official Facebook page, Fayose criticized the government and said defending the current administration publicly is extremely difficult.
He argued that anyone attempting to defend the government risks “looking stupid” considering the country’s current situation.
Fayose further lamented Nigeria’s security challenges and criticized political leaders whom he accused of worsening the country’s problems.
He also questioned how Nigeria reached a stage where it is described as one of the most dangerous countries to live in.
