Iran Strikes Israel’s Dimona Nuclear Area in Retaliation

Iran launched a missile attack on Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility in southern Israel on Saturday, in retaliation for an earlier strike on its Natanz nuclear site.
The Israeli army confirmed the missile hit a building in Dimona, resulting in numerous injuries and ongoing emergency operations.
Dimona houses Israel’s main nuclear facility, believed to be producing plutonium for the country’s nuclear weapons program.
Iran had previously reported that a U.S.-Israeli attack on its Natanz facility did not cause radioactive leakage, thanks to precautionary measures.
Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency condemned the attack on the uranium enrichment facility, calling it a violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Meanwhile, Tehran also confirmed the Revolutionary Guard shot down a third Israeli F-16 fighter jet over central Iran, escalating tensions further.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the incident, stating that the surface-to-air missile fired did not cause any damage to the aircraft.
Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, accused Iran of launching an intercontinental ballistic missile with a 4,000-kilometer range, which could threaten European capitals like Berlin, Paris, and Rome.
As the war intensifies, Israeli media reports suggest the Houthis may join the conflict, with encouragement from Iran and Hezbollah.
