Aiyedatiwa Dismisses Political Aides, Set to Appoint 1,000 New Aides

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dismissed all political aides in his administration.
This decision, announced on Tuesday, includes all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) across the state.
A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, clarified that the move was part of efforts to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery within the state’s administration.
Adeniyan confirmed that the Governor will appoint around 1,000 new aides in the coming weeks as part of plans to expand and strengthen his political team.
The new aides will be drawn from across the 203 wards in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
Before the dismissals, several aides had voluntarily resigned ahead of the 2027 general elections.
