Iran: Trump Sets Condition for Ceasefire
United States President Donald Trump has stated that Washington would only consider a ceasefire request from Iran if the Strait of Hormuz is reopened and secured.

He revealed that Iran’s newly elected President had approached the United States seeking a truce.
However, Trump emphasized that any agreement would depend on the Strait of Hormuz being “open, free, and clear.”
He highlighted the strategic importance of the waterway in global oil shipments and maritime trade.
The US President added that military operations against Iran would continue until this condition is met.
In the same post, Trump described Iran’s current leadership as less radical compared to previous administrations.
He also reiterated his stance on maintaining pressure on Iran.
This development comes amidst rising tensions between the two nations.
Trump also indicated that he was considering withdrawing the United States from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
This was due to the alliance’s reluctance to support his administration’s approach to the Iran conflict.
