Lawmaker Dasuki resigns from PDP, joins ADC
Abdussamad Dasuki, the representative of Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency in Sokoto State, has officially quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated March 15, 2026, addressed to the PDP chairman of Dogon Daji/Salah Ward in Tambuwal, he cited the ongoing leadership crisis within the party as his reason for leaving.

He claimed that internal conflicts had hindered the PDP’s effectiveness as a credible opposition force.
After resigning from the PDP, Dasuki announced his new affiliation with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He expressed optimism about collaborating with like-minded individuals to tackle Nigeria’s socio-political and economic issues.
He thanked his supporters in the PDP and assured the people of his constituency of his unwavering commitment to their service.
Dasuki encouraged his followers to stay loyal as he embarks on this new political path to help rebuild Nigeria and strengthen its democracy.
