Trump Criticizes Starmer Again, Stresses Putin Fears US, Not Europe

President Donald Trump has resumed his criticism of Keir Starmer over the British Prime Minister’s stance on the Iran war launched by the United States and Israel.

Speaking at the White House on Monday, Trump, who earlier called Starmer “no Churchill,” questioned his insistence on involving the cabinet for decisions.

“You’re the Prime Minister, you can make the decision yourself,” Trump said, referring to Starmer’s hesitation on military moves.

On the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Trump commended France’s support, rating their contribution as 8 out of 10, though he remarked, “Not perfect, but it’s France—we don’t expect perfect.”

On Europe’s stand against Russia, Trump stated that NATO doesn’t influence Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Putin fears us; he has no fear of Europe,” Trump emphasized, adding that it was his military buildup during his first term that made Russia wary.

Trump also criticized European leaders for hesitating to engage in the Iran conflict, stating that they should support the US, as America had helped them for years.

The President also remarked on the Iranian people’s resistance, saying they oppose their leadership but fear risking their lives without proper weapons.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz disagreed with the US push for NATO involvement, emphasizing that NATO is a defense alliance, not an intervention one.
