CAF Declares Morocco AFCON 2025 Winners, Strips Senegal of Title

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has crowned Morocco as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations winners.
CAF’s Appeal Board ruled that Senegal forfeited the final after walking off the field in protest.
Morocco received a 3–0 walkover victory in a decision following a chaotic match.
Senegal had briefly left the pitch after a controversial penalty was awarded to Morocco late in the game.
Although Senegal returned and won 1–0, CAF deemed their walk-off a violation of Article 84, which mandates forfeiture for refusal to continue playing.
