Iran Orders Immediate Evacuation, Vows Strikes on Gulf Energy Facilities

Iran has threatened to strike key energy infrastructure across the Gulf in retaliation for Israeli attacks on its South Pars gas field.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned of counterstrikes targeting energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.

The warning follows reports from state media that missiles had struck Iran’s largest gas reserves at the South Pars field.

This escalation marks the first direct assault on Iran’s fossil fuel production since the conflict began, with Israeli media reporting the attacks were carried out with US approval.

The attacks have resulted in a sharp rise in oil prices, reaching $110 a barrel, as concerns grow over disruptions to global supplies.

Iran has identified several targets, including Saudi Arabia’s Samref refinery and Jubail petrochemical complex, the UAE’s al-Hosn gasfield, and Qatar’s Mesaieed petrochemical complex.

Iran has urged citizens, residents, and workers in these areas to evacuate immediately.

A Qatari spokesperson condemned the targeting of energy infrastructure, warning of threats to global energy security and regional stability.

Eskandar Pasalar, governor of Asaluyeh, described the US-Israeli escalation as “political suicide” and warned of an impending full-scale economic war.
