Iran Strikes Qatar

Iran struck the Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar on Wednesday, retaliating for an Israeli strike on the South Pars gas field, the world’s largest natural gas reserve.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack, describing it as a blatant act that caused significant damage to the terminal and triggered fires.
The Arab state called the incident a dangerous escalation, a violation of its sovereignty, and a threat to both national and regional security.
QatarEnergy confirmed Iranian missiles hit the facility, causing fires and major damage but assured that all staff were safe and no casualties were reported.
QatarEnergy, the world’s largest LNG producer, operates 14 trains with a capacity of 77 million tonnes per annum.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the targeting of Iran’s energy infrastructure, warning that such acts would complicate the situation and have uncontrollable repercussions.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also criticized Israel’s actions, noting that every aggressive act will have a reaction.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that four ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh were intercepted, causing debris to fall in various areas but no serious damage or casualties.
