Bandits Abduct Eight Worshippers in Kwara Church

Bandits abducted eight worshippers at the ECWA church in Omugo, Oro-Ago, Kwara State, on Sunday morning.

Three of the victims have been rescued by joint security forces.

The attack occurred hours after the Kwara South Senatorial District Coordinator, Zubair Olaitan, warned of an imminent attack on some communities in Ifelodun, Irepodun, and Isin LGAs.

The Kwara State Government has tasked security forces and local vigilantes to apprehend the attackers.

The government also commended the rescue operation that freed three victims, calling it a swift and effective response.

A statement issued by Commissioner for Communications, Bolanle Olukoju, condemned the attack on a religious place, calling it a cowardly act.

The government urged all security forces, vigilantes, and community members to continue working together to end this menace.

They also assured the public of their ongoing commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
