2027: Imansuagbon Calls on Nigerians to Reject Tinubu’s Reelection Bid

Ken Imansuagbon, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged Nigerians to reject President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general election.
He made this appeal in Ewohimi, Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Imansuagbon was receiving defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the weekend.
The former Labour Party (LP) governorship aspirant for the 2024 Edo State election emphasized the need for Nigerians to start mobilizing against Tinubu’s second-term bid.
He asserted that now is the right time for Nigerians to reclaim their mandate.
He warned that failure to stop Tinubu’s reelection would worsen the country’s social, economic, and political development.
Imansuagbon stated, “Nigerians must prepare to decisively reject the failed leadership of the current APC-led government.”
He added that the electorate must also resist any attempt by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to secure a second term.
He noted that despite the APC’s claim of a majority of governors, it does not guarantee electoral success or grassroots support.
Imansuagbon compared the influx of new ADC members to a “tsunami,” signaling growing public confidence in the party.
Former Edo State Governor and ADC National Legal Adviser, Prof. Oserhimen Osunbor, also commended the party’s efforts.
He dismissed the APC’s claims of electoral dominance.
Osunbor cautioned that internal party issues and the Electoral Act could disrupt expectations.
He stated that political outcomes would ultimately be determined by the people.
The event attracted several notable figures, signaling a political shift ahead of the 2027 elections.
