Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has explained why he opted to start Kepa Arizzabalaga over David Raya in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

The Gunners lost 2-0 to City at Wembley on Sunday evening.

Arteta defended his choice, stating, “I would do that again. No regrets.”

He noted that it would have been unfair to make a different decision, both for Raya and the team.

Arsenal, despite the defeat, remains nine points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League and still in contention for the Champions League and FA Cup.
