Skales Condemns Cubana Chief Priest for Using Jos Attack for Political Gains

Popular Nigerian musician, Skales, has strongly criticized socialite Cubana Chief Priest for turning the recent Palm Sunday attack in Plateau State into a political issue.
The tragic attack, which occurred in Gari Ya Waye community, Angwan Rukuba, Jos, on March 29, 2026, resulted in the deaths of several residents.
In his response to the attack, Cubana Chief Priest, who is known for his support of President Bola Tinubu’s government, suggested that the violence, which coincided with Tinubu’s birthday, was part of an opposition plot to discredit the president.
Skales, deeply upset by Cubana Chief Priest’s statement, expressed his disbelief and questioned his conscience.
The artist accused Cubana of abandoning his sense of humanity in favor of selfish political interests.
Skales remarked, “This guy is delusional. I can’t believe he said that. People are dead, and all you care about is the president being embarrassed. I can’t believe you wrote that. Where’s your conscience? You have kids, don’t you?”
The attack and the subsequent reactions have sparked widespread outrage.
Other prominent Nigerian figures, such as comedian Mr. Macaroni, musician Ice Prince, and Peter Okoye, also condemned the government’s failure to protect citizens.
