Bibire Celebrates Rt. Hon. Sunmonu at 67, Applauds Her Outstanding Contributions to State, National Development

The leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan Northwest and Southwest Federal Constituency, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro, popularly known as Bibire, has communicated his profound congratulations to Rt. Hon. Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu on her 67th birthday.

The compassionate politician commended what he described as Sunmonu’s immense and undisputedly sterling contributions to the development of Oyo State as Rt. Hon. Speaker, and to Nigeria as a senior Senator.

Bibire expressed his admiration in a congratulatory statement, which he signed and made available to Polity Reporters on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

He noted that Rt. Hon. Sunmonu is a worthy and exemplary leader who has excelled in numerous endeavours and continues to be an important figure to be emulated by many.

His statement read partly, “I congratulate Rt. Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu as she celebrates her 67th birthday.

“A worthy and exemplary leader, she has left an indelible impact in various spheres, championing development programmes and ensuring credible representation of the people of Oyo State.”

He continued, “As Rt. Hon. Speaker of the 7th Assembly, and Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, she served the people with distinction and, even out of office, continues to champion the development of the people and the empowerment of vulnerable groups.

“An amazon of great stature, I celebrate her immense contributions to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, as well as her unshakeable commitment to the continued development of our polity, and I pray that God will continue to bless her with many more fruitful years.”
