Eid-el-Fitr: Fagbenro-Bibire Felicitates Muslims, Urges Continued Giving

Prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro, popularly known as Bibire, has conveyed his profound greetings to Muslim faithful in Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr which occasions the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists in Ibadan, the respected philanthropist congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the 30-day fast and encouraged them to keep up the acts of giving and kindness, that defined the Ramadan period, throughout the year.
The retired US Navy veteran advised Muslims to apply the lessons of the holy month in their daily lives and also urged them, alongside people of other faiths, to continue to live together in love, peace, and unity as one people.
He noted that Ramadan teaches discipline and sacrifice and therefore called on Muslims to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with moderation while placing greater attention on showing love and care to the less privileged above other forms of celebration.
He added that this is a time when prayers are greatly needed for the federal constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole for God’s blessings and for increased peace and prosperity.
The leading House of Representatives aspirant, who commended Muslims in Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency for their perpetual support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde through prayers, advice, and active involvement in governance, urged them not to relent in their contributions to the peaceful and harmonious environment in the state.
He also called on people of all religions in the state to continue to throw their essential support behind the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in promoting peace and orderliness, which, according to him, are “necessary conditions for sustainable growth and development that will result to collective prosperity for all.”
He concluded with prayers that Almighty Allah will accept their prayers, grant their heart desires, and preserve their lives to witness many more celebrations.
