Eid-el-Fitr: IBSWLG Chairman Hopeful, Hon. Olu Bello Felicitates Muslim Ummah, Harps On Virtues Of Charity, Others

Honourable Olumide Vincent Bello ( Olu Bello ), a frontline aspirant for the Ibadan Southwest Local Government Chairman position, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah worldwide, especially the people of Ibadan Southwest, on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

In a statement made available to Polity Reporters, he expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and commended Muslims for their dedication, perseverance, and resilience in observing this important spiritual exercise which is a fundamental pillar of Islam.

Hon. Olu Bello, who is vying for the top seat in the local government, urged the faithful to continue upholding the lessons imbibed from the Holy Qur’an and Hadith during Ramadan, and called on them to remain steadfast in the virtues of charity, humility, peace, forgiveness, love, and sacrifice beyond the fasting period.

He also encouraged Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to offer fervent prayers for peace to continue reigning in Ibadan Southwest, Oyo State, and across the country, stressing that peace is essential for economic stability.

The respected PDP chieftain, who declared his full support for Omi-tuntun 3.0, reiterated that the pro-people agenda (Omi-tuntun 3.0) remains sacrosanct, and urged the people of Oyo to continue praying for Governor Seyi Makinde in his laudable efforts and ongoing mission to redefine the state and make it second to none in Nigeria.

While wishing Muslims a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr, the seasoned administrator advised the youth, in particular, to celebrate responsibly and avoid acts of violence, which contradict the values of the occasion.

The seasoned administrator concluded by praying Almighty Allah to “accept your fasts, prayers, and good deeds, and grant you peace, prosperity, and blessings in this life and the hereafter. Ameen.”
