UCL: Lewandowski Overtakes Messi, Ronaldo

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has broken the UEFA Champions League record previously held by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lewandowski scored a brace for Barcelona as they thrashed Newcastle United 7-2 in the Champions League Round of 16 second-leg tie at Camp Nou.
According to ESPN FC, Newcastle became the 41st different opponent he has scored against in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing Messi, who had scored against 40 different opponents, for the most opponents scored against.
The Poland international now leads the way ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored against 38 different opponents during his time in Europe.
At 37 years and 209 days, Lewandowski also became the oldest ever scorer in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage.
