Trump Explains How Strait of Hormuz Could Be Opened

US President Donald Trump has stated that reopening the Strait of Hormuz could be achieved through a simple military operation.

Trump shared his thoughts on the matter on Friday while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.

He explained: “It’s a simple military maneuver. It’s relatively safe, but you need a lot of assistance in terms of ships and volume. NATO could assist us, but they have yet to find the courage to do so.”

“Others could also assist, but we’re not utilizing that help. At some point, the strait will open, but we’ve already defeated the enemy,” Trump added.

Earlier that day, Trump criticized allies, claiming they were unwilling to help with reopening the Strait of Hormuz despite the straightforward nature of the task.

He also stated that he does not seek a ceasefire with Iran, given the current advantage of the US in the conflict.

“We can have a dialogue, but I don’t want a ceasefire. You don’t call for a ceasefire when you’re literally annihilating the other side.”

“Their navy, Air Force, and military equipment are nonexistent. They have no anti-aircraft systems, no radar, and their leaders have all been eliminated at every level,” Trump continued.
