Bibire Brings Ibadan Northwest/Southwest to Its Feet with Powerful Solidarity Walk for Governor Makinde

Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, the leading aspirant for Ibadan Northwest and Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party, on Tuesday led a large turnout of supporters in a solidarity walk to mobilise backing for Governor Seyi Makinde and the Omi-tuntun 3.0 agenda.

Polity Reporters gathered that the walk, coordinated by Bibire and tagged: “BibireSeyi Solidarity Walk”, moved through major parts of the city from Apata to the Governor’s Office.

Addressing journalists during the exercise which drew thousands of supporters, Bibire expressed appreciation for the large turnout, noting that the presence of the crowd validates deep acceptance of Governor Seyi Makinde among the people.

He explained that the solidarity walk came at a critical time to reassure the Governor that the people remain firmly behind him in view of his visible achievements across key sectors that have improved the lives of residents.

Bibire also used the moment to restate his loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde, declaring that he would align himself with the Governor’s political direction at all times.

The philanthropist further confirmed his intention to contest in the 2027 House of Representatives election, expressing confidence in his capacity to advance development across Ibadan Northwest and Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency.

He assured constituents that his approach to representation would allow easy access for the people, noting that the absence of this has created a disconnect between many representatives and their constituents.

Bibire added that transparency and accountability would define his tenure, as constituents would remain informed about legislative activities such as bills, motions, and other parliamentary engagements.

He expressed confidence that with sustained mobilisation, Oyo State would deliver strong support for Omi-tuntun 3.0 in 2027, which he described as non-negotiable for continued progress.
