K1 De Ultimate’s Daughter Announces Lagos Assembly Bid

Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of legendary Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, aka K1 De Ultimate, has officially declared her intention to run for the 2027 Lagos State House of Assembly election for Surulere Constituency II.
Currently serving as Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Marshall stated that her decision to join the race is fueled by a desire to amplify the voices and concerns of young people in governance.
In a campaign flier shared on her social media platforms, Marshall declared: “The universe favours only the brave — it’s youth o’clock.”
As a legal practitioner with over a decade of experience in law, Marshall expressed confidence in her ability to deliver effective representation.
She said, “I am excited to share that I, Barrister Damilola Ayinde Marshall, am stepping forward to serve the good people of Surulere Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.”
Describing herself as “a woman of excellence and results,” Marshall pledged to advocate strongly for young Lagosians if elected, stating: “I promise to be the voice of the youths in the House. As a young woman, I believe this is exactly what my people need right now, and that is why I decided to step forward.”
She placed emphasis on her connection with younger constituents: “I listen to the youths because I am one of you, and I understand what we truly need. That is exactly why I’m here to serve.”
