How Fani-Kayode Begged Atiku Before Tinubu Appointed Him Ambassador — Dele Momodu

Media mogul, Dele Momodu, has continued his exchange of words with former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
In a detailed post on X on Thursday, Momodu alleged that Fani-Kayode had been preparing a backup plan in case he did not secure an appointment from President Bola Tinubu.
Fani-Kayode ultimately received an ambassadorial appointment under Tinubu’s government.
However, Momodu insists that Fani-Kayode had been reaching out to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar through intermediaries in an attempt to secure a role.
According to Momodu, Fani-Kayode struggles without power, describing him as a person who cannot function outside of political influence.
Momodu wrote: “I knew Chief Babaremilekun Adetokunbo Fani-Kayode, Q.C, SAN, of blessed memory, the father of David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode aka FFK, in Ile-Ife, long before I met his quarrelsome son.
“Femi is an example of a wasted opportunity. He attended top schools, but turned into an uncontrollable troublemaker.
“He studied at Cambridge University, yet became known for fighting against everyone, even invisible forces. Despite attempts by family and friends to help him, he remains unchanged.
“And now this is the man President Bola Tinubu is about to appoint as Ambassador to Germany, for heaven’s sake.
“For Femi, this is the culmination of a long-awaited appointment. We had discussed it numerous times, and I advised him to stay patient and pray. I understood his frustration.
“He was already working on Plan B and was asking some of us to help him connect with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar if his hopes faded.
“Femi without power is like a fish out of water. It’s tragic that, after Tinubu has finally shown him mercy, he continues to fight instead of seeking real personal growth.”
