UCL: Salah Breaks Record, Becomes First African to Reach 50 Goals

Mohamed Salah made history on Wednesday, becoming the first African player to score 50 UEFA Champions League goals, surpassing Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

The Liverpool forward reached the milestone during his team’s 4-0 victory over Galatasaray in the Round of 16 second-leg tie.

Salah’s 50 goals include 47 for Liverpool, two for Basel, and one for AS Roma.

The Egyptian captain’s stunning 62nd-minute strike secured the record and has set his sights on increasing his tally in Liverpool’s upcoming quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
