BREAKING: Kwankwaso Bloc Secures Majority Leadership Positions in Kano ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State has decided to grant 60 percent of its leadership roles to former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his supporters.

This decision was made during a stakeholders’ meeting aimed at finalizing the party’s leadership structure in the state.

Kano ADC Chairman, Musa Ungogo, confirmed the decision, stating that Kwankwaso’s camp would receive the majority of the positions, while the remaining 40 percent would be allocated to current party members and other recently joined groups.

Ungogo clarified that no specific position was set aside for former Deputy Governor Nasiru Gawuna, but emphasized that Gawuna, now aligned with Kwankwaso, would be included within his bloc.

He further explained that the 40 percent allocation would be shared among individuals from various political backgrounds, including defectors from the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and those previously not involved in politics.

“Everyone involved is satisfied with the distribution formula, and all positions will be determined by consensus. There will be no regrets,” Ungogo noted.

He mentioned that the party is rapidly growing in Kano State, attracting members from different political parties, including the ruling party and the PDP, as well as new participants from outside the political arena.

Ungogo hailed Kwankwaso’s shift to the ADC as a significant strength for the party, boosting its influence and visibility in the state, and expressed appreciation for the support from both local and national leaders in the party’s recent growth.
