INEC Postpones Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the delay of its planned nationwide voter revalidation exercise.

The exercise will now take place after the 2027 General Election.

The decision was made on Friday, April 10, 2026, during a meeting held between the Commission and all Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).

Following in-depth discussions, INEC decided to reschedule the exercise to a later time.
