BREAKING: 15-Year-Old Admits to Role in Borno Attacks

A 15-year-old boy identified as Tijjani has reportedly admitted his involvement in recent terrorist attacks in parts of Borno State.

In a video statement circulating online, the teenager said he was arrested on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Ngamdu, Borno State.

Tijjani claimed he was among the fighters involved in attacks on Benisheik and Ngamdu on Thursday. According to him, the group had mobilized from Jilli before carrying out the assaults and later returned to the same location.

He further stated that he was sent back to Ngamdu on Saturday with the sum of ₦850,000 to procure logistics supplies but was apprehended by security forces upon arrival.

The suspect said he left other members of the group in Jilli and claimed he was unaware of subsequent developments involving them.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the arrest or the authenticity of the video as of the time of filing this report.
