Independence Day: Bibire Urges Oyo Residents to Make Security Everyone’s Business

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Matters, Abayomi Fagbenro Bibire, has urged residents of Oyo State to protect the freedom gained at independence and make security a collective responsibility as Nigeria celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Bibire, in his Independence Day message, congratulated Nigerians on the occasion and called on citizens to honour the sacrifices that ushered the country’s freedom by contributing their enough quota to a stronger, united and, prosperous Nigeria.
“Happy Independence Day. Let us honour the sacrifices that won us our freedom and renew our commitment to building a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
The Security Adviser also urged residents to remain security conscious, pay attention to developments within their communities and promptly report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
He said timely information from residents remains important to the efforts of security agencies and the state government in preventing threats and responding quickly to incidents.
Bibire therefore encouraged residents to use the Oyo State Security Control Room’s toll free 615 line to report emergencies and other security concerns requiring prompt attention.
