SA Security, Bibire Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet Mohammed on Eid-El-Maulud

The Special Adviser on Security to the Oyo State Governor, Mr Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, urging them to uphold the virtues and teachings of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).

In a statement released on Tuesday to Polity Reporters, Bibire encouraged Muslim faithful to continue to promote love, tolerance and good neighbourliness as they celebrate the birth of the Prophet.

He said the teachings of Prophet Mohammed should remain a moral compass for Muslims as they work towards peaceful coexistence and a society where people live hand in hand despite their differences.

“I felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo State and across Nigeria on this day set aside to celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W),” Bibire said.

He added that the occasion brings to the fore the virtues of the Prophet, which Muslims and Nigerians should emulate in building a society anchored on love, peace and progress.

“Muslims constitute a major force for peace and progress wherever they may be, and we are glad that our Muslim brothers and sisters have been an integral part of our march to development in Oyo State,” he said.

The Oyo Security Adviser urged Muslims to steer clear of actions that undermine unity and development, while encouraging them to remain good neighbours and worthy ambassadors of positive change.

He further called on residents to remain security conscious and support the efforts of security agencies in maintaining the prevailing peace across Oyo State, noting that security is a collective responsibility where everyone must join hands to nip threats in the bud and keep the state on the path of peace and progress.

Bibire ended by appreciating Muslims for standing by the policies and programmes of Governor Seyi Makinde, which he said are geared towards building a prosperous Oyo State.
