Blessing CEO Gets N20m Bail Over N69m Fraud Trial

Social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been granted N20 million bail by the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja over an alleged N69.15 million fraud case.
Justice Rahman Oshodi granted the bail application on Thursday after considering the arguments presented by the defence, while noting that the court had a responsibility to assess the seriousness of the allegations before exercising its discretion.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned Blessing CEO on a two count charge bordering on alleged stealing and obtaining money by false pretence, with the influencer pleading not guilty to the allegations.
The EFCC alleged that in March 2025, Blessing CEO obtained N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited under the claim that she would secure a lease for a property located in the Lekki area of Lagos.
During the bail proceedings, the court raised questions over the whereabouts of her international passport, following which her lawyer informed the court that the document had been lost and presented an affidavit of loss alongside public notices issued on the matter.
In granting the bail, Justice Oshodi ordered Blessing CEO to provide two responsible sureties in like sum, with each surety required to submit a three year bank statement or evidence of a fixed deposit valued at not less than N20 million.
The court also directed that the defendant and her sureties undergo screening through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System as part of the bail conditions.
The judge further restricted her international movement by directing relevant authorities to enforce travel restrictions pending the conclusion of the trial.
The case was adjourned until October 12, 2026, for continuation of trial as the EFCC continues its prosecution of the alleged fraud charges against the social media personality.
