Sowore Claims Adeleke’s Family Runs Osun Govt

The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is not fully in control of the state’s affairs.

Sowore claimed that members of Adeleke’s family, including his sister and elder brother, are allegedly responsible for running the state government.

The activist made the claim on Thursday during an appearance on News Central TV’s breakfast programme.

He also questioned some of the achievements attributed to the Adeleke administration, saying he was dissatisfied with the governor’s performance.

“What I saw in Adeleke’s leadership is that the guy is not even in control of his government,” Sowore said.

He added that he had heard that Adeleke’s sister and elder brother, who is singer Davido’s father, were allegedly involved in running the affairs of the state.

Sowore said he was “appalled” by Adeleke’s performance after watching the governor’s appearance on an Arise TV town hall programme.

The allegation comes ahead of Saturday’s Osun State governorship election, where Adeleke is seeking re-election.
