Ogun 2027: Abiodun Names Yayi as Successor

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, as his preferred successor for the 2027 governorship election in the state.

The governor made the announcement during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, where he described Adeola as the consensus choice to represent the party in the upcoming election.

Abiodun stressed that the decision reflects the unified will of party leaders across Ogun State, and that Adeola is “truly deserving” of leading the state after the completion of his tenure.
