BREAKING: Roby Ekpo Weeps on Podcast Over Wife’s Alleged Remarriage in US

Popular Nigerian media personality, Roby Ekpo, broke down in tears as he discussed the collapse of his marriage on the Honest Bunch Podcast.

He revealed that he discovered his wife, Mayowa, had remarried in the United States after years of separation and financial support from him.

Ekpo recounted his shock at finding private messages in which his wife expressed dissatisfaction with their relationship.

In the messages, she allegedly wrote, “I don’t even care if he loves me or not because what can love do for me besides stress me?”

“She isn’t taking care of me as a man should. He isn’t satisfying me sexually. He isn’t helping my spiritual life. He isn’t spoiling me. He isn’t anything good… I have been coping with unsatisfying sex for almost three years,” she said.

Ekpo, visibly shaken, shared how the words hit him hard, especially after years of trying to make the marriage work from afar.

He stated, “I’m 48 years old. I don’t have a kid… I started going for sperm tests.”

He thought they were working towards starting a family.

Ekpo revealed that he had been sending money consistently for six years while his wife lived in the US.

“For six years she travelled, and I was sending money every time. I have receipts here,” Ekpo shared.

He described how he would send ₦200,000 from a ₦500,000 gig and even sent flowers.

Ekpo also spoke of the emotional detachment when his wife returned briefly to Nigeria.

“I went to the airport with two cars to welcome her but received no hug or kiss. I slept in the living room for two days,” he added.

He claimed that his wife lived with a male flatmate in the US, who he later discovered was romantically involved with her.

Ekpo also alleged that he saw a photo of his wife sitting on the lap of another man in a restaurant.

The final blow came in April 2026 when Ekpo learned that his wife had allegedly remarried in Texas.

“Ten years of my life… it pain me,” Ekpo said, fighting back tears.

Ekpo and Mayowa had married in November 2015, and their relationship had been kept private.

Following the reports of the alleged remarriage, Ekpo thanked his supporters for their messages of concern.

On Instagram, he expressed gratitude, saying, “My people, thank you for the calls and messages. I really appreciate y’all.”

He added that the full story was too long and wished his wife well in what he referred to as her “third marriage.”
