BREAKING: Natasha Announces Bid for Second Term, Seeks Support from PDP Stakeholders

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, officially announced her intention to run for re-election for a second term on Monday.

Her declaration took place during a meeting with stakeholders from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi Central.

The announcement marks the beginning of early political mobilisation within the district ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The update was shared in a statement issued by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mike Idoko.

The statement revealed that the meeting brought together key party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders to discuss the future of the PDP in Kogi Central.

This senatorial district has become a key battleground in recent political cycles, with various factions vying for influence.

In her address, Akpoti-Uduaghan explained that her decision to seek re-election came after months of consultations and increasing pressure from constituents across the five local government areas.

“After due consultations and encouragement from my lovely husband, I am here to say I have accepted your calls to re-contest for my second term as your senator,” she declared, receiving a warm round of applause.

The lawmaker’s announcement follows a series of endorsements from community leaders and party members over the last four months.

These endorsements suggest growing grassroots support for her candidacy.
