UCL: Lookman Clears Fitness Hurdle for Arsenal
Atletico Madrid winger Ademola Lookman has declared himself fully fit to play in the upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Arsenal on Wednesday.
Atletico will welcome the Gunners to the Metropolitano Stadium as both teams vie for a spot in the prestigious final.
Lookman had been sidelined for Atletico’s last two matches due to an adductor injury, but he has now returned to full training in time for the crucial fixture.
“I missed the previous games, but I’m feeling much better now,” said Lookman after joining his teammates in training.
The 27-year-old forward had scored in Atletico’s last Champions League match against Barcelona, emphasizing his key role in Diego Simeone’s squad as they prepare for the highly anticipated clash.
His return is a major boost for Atletico Madrid, who will be looking to secure an early advantage in the tie against the Premier League contenders.
