Akume’s Wife, David Mark’s Daughter Clinch APC House of Representatives Tickets in Benue

Regina Akume, wife of George Akume, secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the House of Representatives in Benue State.

Akume, 71, emerged victorious in the APC primary for the Gboko/Tarka federal constituency held on Saturday.

Sabiu Mahuta, chairman of the national assembly primary election committee in Benue, announced the results on Sunday at the APC secretariat in Makurdi, the state capital.

Also, Blessing Onuh, daughter of David Mark, former national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), secured the APC ticket for another term in the House of Representatives.

Onuh defeated three other aspirants in the Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency primary, while Ojotu Ojema won the APC ticket for the Apa/Agatu federal constituency.

Terfa Ikper won the Makurdi/Guma federal constituency ticket, and Gideon Inyom was declared winner in the Buruku federal constituency.

Terhemba Nongo emerged victorious in the Gwer East/Gwer West federal constituency primary, while Kohol Iormem clinched the Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency ticket.

Solomon Wombo secured the APC ticket for the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo federal constituency, and Livinus Tsar won the Vandeikya/Konshisha federal constituency primary.

Peter Ogbodo emerged winner of the Oju/Obi federal constituency primary, while Anthony Agom secured the Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu federal constituency ticket.
