Adelabu Alleges Irregularities in Oyo APC Guber Primaries

Former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of result manipulation and electoral misconduct during its governorship primaries in Oyo State.

Adelabu, a leading governorship aspirant, spoke to journalists on Thursday after casting his vote at his polling unit.

The former minister, who resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet to contest the Oyo State governorship, warned that the exercise was marred by irregularities in several wards.

He said reports indicated that elections were conducted hours before the official time in some areas and that figures were allegedly manipulated to favour certain outcomes.

Adelabu’s statement has raised concerns about the transparency and credibility of APC’s primaries across the state ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

As at press time, the Oyo State APC leadership had not responded to the allegations made by the former minister.
