CAC Revival Centre Holds 10th Remembrance Service For Prophet M.O Salawu

Christ Apostolic Church, Revival Centre will today, Saturday, July 18, 2026, hold a special 10th remembrance service in honour of its late founder, Prophet Michael Olutayo Salawu, popularly known as Baba Salawu.

It would be recalled that ten years ago, today, headlines were awash with the news of the passing of Prophet Michael Olutayo Salawu, a popular Ibadan-based man of God who devoted his life wholly to Christ and emptied himself in service of the Kingdom.

The remembrance service, which denotes a decade since his passing, is expected to bring together fathers in the faith, family members, church leaders, members of the church, friends, ministers of the gospel and well wishers at the church headquarters, Apata, Ibadan.

The programme, scheduled to commence by 10:00am, is designed to recall his life, appreciate God for his immense contributions to Kingdom advancement and celebrate the immeasurable impact of his prophetic assignment.

The service will feature testimonies, worship, messages and other activities centred on Baba Salawu’s tireless and sacrificial commitment to the work of God, his passion for spreading the gospel and zeal for raising lives through the mandate entrusted to him.

Also, a documentary chronicling the life, teachings and phenomenon efforts of Prophet Salawu will also be displayed during the remembrance service to showcase the footprints of a man who committed himself to the totality of God’s work.

Congregants are also expected to adorn white attire, which was a trademark colour of Baba Salawu during his lifetime.

Prophet Michael Olutayo Salawu, who founded Nigeria Centre for World Mission, of which CAC Revival Centre is one of its numerous subsidiaries, was internationally reputed for his strong emphasis on the Word of God, holiness and prayer, with his praiseworthy labours reaching far and wide beyond the church walls through missionary activities.

Born on January 31, 1943, in Mamu Village, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, Baba Salawu answered the call of God following his conversion in 1977, threw himself wholeheartedly into ministry and went on to establish the Nigeria Centre for World Mission while sowing seeds through several spiritual initiatives.

Until his passing on July 18, 2016, at the age of 73, Prophet Salawu was renowned as a man who placed nothing above Christ and a philanthropist who went the extra mile in caring for the children of God.

The 10th remembrance service will provide an avenue to honour his life, celebrate the footprints he left behind and draw lessons from the values and principles that characterized the course of his lifetime.
