FCE Senior Staff Club Awards Bibire for Outstanding Support, Contributions

The Senior Staff Club of the Federal College of Education, Osiele, has honoured the Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Security Matters, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, with an award of recognition for his support and contribution to the success of its activities.

Bibire received the award on Monday during the send forth ceremony organized by the Club in honour of the outgoing Provost of the College, Dr. R.A. Soyele, at the Senior Staff Club premises.

The recognition was presented to Bibire by the Chairman of Council in appreciation of his presence, support and commitment to the growth and development of the institution.

Speaking at the event, Bibire, who served as the Chairman of the day, commended the Senior Staff Club for organizing the ceremony and celebrating the achievements of Dr. Soyele, whose tenure he described as a period of meaningful contributions to the growth and development of the College.

Bibire also urged members of the College community to remain security conscious, stressing that a peaceful environment is essential for academic and institutional development.

The Oyo Security Adviser, who harped that the responsibility of maintaining peace and safety requires the cooperation of everyone, encouraged staff, students and other stakeholders to remain vigilant and support security efforts within their environment.

The occasion, which brought together members of the College community, dignitaries, union leaders, alumni and other stakeholders, also featured the commissioning of the newly completed Elders’ Pavilion at the Senior Staff Club premises.

Bibire joined the outgoing Provost, Dr. Soyele, his wife and other stakeholders for the official commissioning of the facility.

The first-class philanthropist donated a substantial amount of money to the Club as support towards its development.
