INEC Opens 2026 Recruitment Portal: Apply Here, Check Requirements, Available Positions

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its 2026 recruitment portal, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for available permanent staff positions through its official online platform.

Interested applicants can begin their application by creating an account on the official recruitment portal, uploading the required documents and completing the application process online.

After creating an account, applicants can proceed to select their preferred vacancy, complete their profile and submit their applications.

Available Positions

The recruitment exercise includes vacancies under different cadres, including:

• Professional cadre positions such as Accountant, Clinical Officer, Lawyer, ICT Officer, Engineer and Quantity Surveyor.

• Administrative Officer II positions, including Registration Area Officer roles.

• Executive Officer positions, including Registration Area Officer roles.

Required Documents

Applicants are expected to have the following documents ready:

• Birth certificate or declaration of age
• O’Level certificate
• First degree certificate
• Master’s degree certificate where applicable
NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
• Passport photograph
• Local Government Area identification
• Professional certificates where applicable

INEC warned applicants that the recruitment process is completely free and advised the public not to pay anyone promising employment opportunities. The commission also stated that multiple applications may lead to disqualification and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
