Oyo Youth Parliament: OMA Emerges Committee Chairman On Governor’s Agenda, SDGs

Honourable Olalekan Michael Ajibola, popularly known and politically called OMA, the representative of Kajola youths at the Oyo State Youth Parliament, has been appointed as the Chairman of the House Committee on Governor’s Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The appointment followed the committee leadership selection process, where the former University of Ibadan Students’ Union Public Relations Officer was considered suitable to lead the committee saddled with the responsibility of providing oversight and contributing to discussions around government policies, development programmes, and sustainable initiatives.

The Old Sigma Chief, with this latest development, will be at the forefront of consolidating legislative engagement, keeping a watchful eye on government programmes, and ensuring that policies and interventions stay on course with the aspirations of the youths.

Before his appointment, the University of Ibadan law graduate had distinguished himself as a strong advocate for youth inclusion and effective representation, leveraging his platform at the Oyo State Youth Parliament to advance issues affecting young people and promote societal development.

Speaking on the new responsibility, Hon. OMA showed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him, and pledged to work with all and sundry to achieve the objectives of the committee and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Oyo State.

The new committee chairman also reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, accountability, and supporting programmes that create meaningful impact for young people and residents across the state.

Speaking further, he assured that he would remain steadfast in his commitment to advancing the objectives of the Governor’s Agenda and ensuring that development programmes receive the needed attention to deliver greater impact across the state.
