Familiarization Visit: Bibire Charges Staff To Raise Bar In Strengthening Oyo Security Architecture, Thanks Governor Makinde

Special Adviser on Security to Governor Seyi Makinde, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has charged members of staff in his office to sustain their commitment to duty and continue improving in the discharge of their responsibilities toward strengthening security across Oyo State.

Bibire, who will officially resume tomorrow, Wednesday, stated this while addressing staff of the Office of the Special Adviser on Security during a familiarization visit to the office on Tuesday, in Ibadan.

He noted that although appreciable efforts have been made over the years in supporting the security architecture of the state, there is still room to improve and deliver more effective service to the people of Oyo State.

According to him, the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement, stressing that every member of staff must continue to improve and raise the bar in order to make the security structure of the state more fortified and effective.

“The task before us requires commitment, sacrifice, vigilance, and constant improvement because security remains everybody’s business and we must continue to work together to strengthen the peace and stability of Oyo State,” he said.

The retired United States Navy veteran stressed the importance of discipline, cooperation, professionalism, and commitment among members of staff, saying collective effort remains the bedrock of productive service delivery.

“We must continue to put our shoulders to the wheel and remain focused on the common goal of protecting lives and property across Oyo State because the task before us requires unity, sacrifice, and utmost dedication,” he stated.

Bibire further stated that he would never betray the trust and confidence placed in him by the governor, assuring that he would justify the appointment through hard work, and improved service delivery.

“I am sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for finding me worthy of this responsibility, and I want to assure the governor and the good people of Oyo State that I will continue to give my very best in the discharge of my duties.

“The confidence reposed in me by His Excellency will be justified through hard work, and practical results that will further strengthen the security framework of our dear state,” he said.

This was as he assured residents of Oyo State that the present administration remains committed to sustaining peace, strengthening public safety, protecting lives and property, and ensuring that people across the state continue to sleep with their eyes closed without fear or intimidation.

“Oyo State will continue to remain peaceful and secure because this administration understands that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, and that is why we will continue to strengthen every necessary mechanism to protect the people,” he noted.
