APC Reschedules House of Representatives Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections.
The primary election will now hold on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party announced the change in a statement released on Thursday.
APC said the adjustment affects only the House of Representatives primary election.
The party added that the timetable for other primary elections remains unchanged.
According to the revised schedule, the Senate primary election will hold on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The State House of Assembly primary election is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The governorship primary election will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
The presidential primary election is expected to hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The party has yet to state the reason for the change in date for the House of Representatives primary.
