Atiku Wins ADC Presidential Primary, Becomes Party’s Flag Bearer

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged as the presidential candidate and flag bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the upcoming general elections.

The results of the ADC presidential primary were officially declared on Wednesday at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Tunde Ogbeha, the Returning Officer for the primary, announced that Atiku Abubakar won with a total of 1,846,370 votes, defeating two prominent contenders.

Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi came in second with 504,117 votes, while Mohammed Hayatudeen, the former Managing Director of the defunct FSB International Bank, received 177,120 votes.

Following the collation of votes from the party’s national primary, Atiku Abubakar has been confirmed as the ADC’s official candidate for the forthcoming presidential election.
