VIDEO: Makinde Visits Rescued Oyo Pupils, Teachers at Ibadan Military Hospital

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday visited the rescued pupils and teachers abducted from Oriire Local Government Area, who are currently receiving treatment and care at the Military Hospital in Ibadan.
The victims were abducted by gunmen on May 15, 2026, and spent more than 50 days in captivity before they were rescued by security agencies in a coordinated operation.
The Federal Government had announced their release on Friday, with the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirming that the pupils and teachers were rescued alive and unharmed.
Governor Makinde’s visit was to check on their wellbeing, offer support, and assess the level of care being provided as they continue their recovery from the traumatic experience.
