Casemiro Joins Messi’s Inter Miami After Man United Exit
Brazilian midfield maestro Casemiro has completed a move to Inter Miami as a free agent after leaving Manchester United, joining a star studded squad led by Lionel Messi.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder signed a deal expected to keep him at the Major League Soccer club through the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option for a further extension.
Casemiro’s arrival adds another world class name to an Inter Miami squad that already features global stars including Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
The Brazilian international arrives in the United States with an impressive career record, having won multiple UEFA Champions League titles during his time at Real Madrid before moving to Manchester United in 2022.
His move to MLS comes after a successful but challenging spell at Old Trafford, where he experienced both major victories and criticism during his time with the English Premier League club.
Inter Miami co owner David Beckham and the club’s leadership expressed excitement over the signing, describing Casemiro as a player whose experience, leadership and winning mentality would strengthen the team.
However, the transfer has attracted attention from MLS authorities, with the league opening an investigation into possible issues surrounding the signing process, particularly related to player discovery rights involving LA Galaxy.
Despite the investigation, Casemiro’s arrival is expected to further increase Inter Miami’s global appeal as the club continues its strategy of attracting some of football’s biggest names.
