Accord Rejects Imumolen’s APC Endorsement

The Accord Party has rejected the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, by its expelled former presidential candidate, Chris Imumolen.
The National Chairman of the party, Maxwell Mgbudem, said Imumolen’s appearance at the APC campaign rally in Osogbo, where he declared support for Oyebamiji, showed that he was no longer a member of Accord.
Mgbudem described Imumolen as a political hireling and hustler, claiming that he lacked the structure to influence the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.
The Accord chairman expressed confidence that Governor Ademola Adeleke would emerge victorious, describing Osun State as a stronghold of the party.
He also accused the APC of engaging in violence, harassment and intimidation against the state government, residents and members of the Accord Party.
