100 Days In Office: Bibire Lights Up Oke-Ayo, Appeals For Votes For APM Candidates

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Matters, Abayomi Fagbenro Bibire, has donated solar powered streetlights to Oke-Ayo community in Odo-Ona to improve visibility at night and support the security of residents and businesses in the area.

Bibire said the donation came from his personal resources in celebration of his 100 days in office and was deliberately taken to Oke-Ayo, where he was born and raised.

He explained that the intervention came on the heels of concerns raised by community leaders about inadequate lighting in the area, which had become a security concern, especially at night.

According to him, better lighting would make movement easier for residents, brighten up the streets and make the environment less appealing to criminal elements.

Bibire also used the occasion to call on residents of Oke-Ayo to stand firmly behind Governor Seyi Makinde, Bimbo Adekanmbi and other APM candidates in the forthcoming elections, noting that continuity remains the surest way to keep the gains of the past years on track.

He said, “If we want the good things we are seeing to continue, then we must support those who are working for the people, and that is why I am appealing to our people in Oke-Ayo to support Governor Seyi Makinde and vote for APM candidates at the various levels.”

Receiving the items on behalf of the community, Hon. Sulaimon appreciated Bibire for remembering his people and coming to the rescue on an issue that had long been a concern among residents.

He described Bibire as a politician who has kept his roots close to his heart and has shown through his actions that he has not forgotten the people and community that gave him his foundation.

Sulaimon said the streetlights would go a long way in improving security and making movement around the area easier, especially when night falls.

He assured Bibire that the community would take good care of the installations and ensure they serve the purpose for which they were provided.

He also assured the Oyo State Security Adviser of the community’s support for the APM candidates at the polls, saying the people would return the favour through their votes.
