Fagbenro-Bibire Mobilizes Grassroots Stakeholders For Gov Makinde, Omituntun 3.0, Moves To Sustain Good Governance In Oyo

Chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, Friday, convened a strategic political meeting with key grassroots stakeholders as part of efforts to sustain the gains of good governance recorded under Governor Seyi Makinde and put the right structures in place for continuity in Oyo State.
The meeting, held at Bibire’s Adabeji residence this afternoon, brought together key members of his political structure, and other grassroots stakeholders who came together to discuss the political direction of the group and the steps required to sustain the gains of the present administration.
The discussions premised on fortifying grassroots structures, taking the message of Omituntun 3.0 to the people, supporting Governor Makinde’s political direction cum presidential ambition, and building a strong base that can carry the achievements of the administration forward.
Bibire commended the grassroots stakeholders of the Bibire Peoples Vision Association for their loyalty and the work they have continued to put in across different wards, particularly their efforts to take the message of Omi-tuntun 3.0 (state and federal) to the grassroots.
He, however, urged them not to take their foot off the pedal but to stay the course and remain committed to the work until the very end.
“In politics, it is those who remain committed to the end that eventually enjoy the reward of their hard work, so I want you to remain focused, continue to engage the people and do not allow temporary challenges to discourage you,” he said.
The political gladiator assured the stakeholders that their contributions would not be swept under the carpet within his political structure, stressing that he is not one to forget those who stood by him and worked tirelessly for the growth of the movement.
“You are not in the wrong place, and I want you to be confident about that because I do not believe in using people when they are needed and pushing them aside when the time comes to share the benefits of their work,” he said.
He then threw his substantial weight behind Governor Seyi Makinde and his presidential ambition, saying he is ever ready to deploy his political machinery, grassroots connections, and personal efforts towards the success of the Governor’s aspiration.
“I want to make my position very clear, my loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde and his presidential ambition is total, and I will do everything within my reach to support and deliver this project,” Bibire said.
He also declared Omituntun 3.0 sacrosanct and a firm political commitment in Oyo State, saying the gains made under Governor Makinde must be protected and taken to a higher level.
“Omituntun 3.0 is sacrosanct in Oyo State, and whatever I need to do to support its realization, I will do because we must protect the progress that our people have seen and make sure that it continues,” he said.
The Oyo Security Adviser also opened his doors to candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement seeking elective positions at the local government, State, and federal levels, assuring those who are ready to put in the work and seek his support that they would not be left out in the cold.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the stakeholders to brainstorm on practical ways of empowering ward structures, improving grassroots mobilization, maintaining regular contact with the people, and preparing adequately for the 2027 elections.
Bibire charged the stakeholders to return to their respective wards and intensify their engagement with the people, noting that the sustainability of good governance depends largely on a strong relationship between government and the grassroots.
He said, “We have a responsibility to make sure that the people understand what this administration has done, what Governor Makinde represents, and why the gains we have made must not be allowed to go backwards.”
He ended by urging the stakeholders to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the larger objective of supporting Governor Makinde’s political aspiration and ensuring that the gains of good governance in Oyo State are sustained through Omituntun 3.0.
