“Government Cannot Give You Peace” — Oyedepo Tells Nigerians to Seek Divine Solution

The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has stated that lasting peace cannot be provided by any government or earthly institution, insisting that only God can give genuine peace to humanity.

Oyedepo made the statement while ministering at the dedication of Dreamland, Master’s City, the new worship centre of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State.

Speaking on the theme of the dedication, the cleric emphasised the importance of recognising God as the source and owner of the church, while encouraging worshippers to place their trust in divine intervention rather than depending solely on human systems.

The renowned preacher stated that peace goes beyond political arrangements, economic stability or government policies, arguing that true inner peace can only come through a relationship with God.

“No government in this world can give you peace,” Oyedepo said, stressing that material possessions and earthly institutions cannot guarantee the kind of peace that comes from God.

The bishop also described places of worship as structures dedicated to God, saying the glory and presence of God remain central to the purpose of building sanctuaries.

The event also featured the reordination of the Senior Pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya, with prayers and blessings for their next phase of ministry.

The dedication ceremony attracted several Christian leaders and worshippers from across Nigeria, as Oyedepo joined other ministers in celebrating the completion of the worship facility.
